Tea, Chocolate & Meditation

Let’s dive deeply into the tea world…

For centuries drinking tea has been practiced as more than a simple leisure activity, there is also a long history of tea as a meditative practice. Zen monks as far back as the 12th century would drink tea not only to remain awake during meditation but as way to become more fully present and to do so with an open heart. Modern research has shown that tea has an abundance of health giving properties - as does chocolate.

Our next fascinating Tea event is on Sunday, March 28, 2021, from 1:00-4:00 PM, PST.

We will, once again, dive deeply into the tea world, this time exploring "living teas". A living tea comes from old-growth tea forests in the high mountains and valleys of Yunnan, China and Taiwan. Deep roots have anchored many of these ancient tea trees to their homes for hundreds of years.

We will be joined by the owner and founder of Living Tea, Colin Hudon, a herbalist, acupuncturist, and practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, who will be describing to us the healing properties of the teas we will be drinking.

If you know that you are one with the Source,

then you don't feel tense or needy.

You don't feel lack or pressure.

You're poised. You're silent. You're peaceful.

You can work harmoniously with anything

that comes your way and then let it go,

because you are free.
